What to Expect

First Chiropractic Visit

    • Prior to any chiropractic adjustment, our chiropractor conducts an extensive personal evaluation aimed at best understanding your physical well-being

    • Dr. Gettys will review your health history with you and address any concerns

    • A complete chiropractic exam assesses the range of motion in the affected body part(s)

    • A thorough chiropractic exam includes general tests, such as blood pressure, pulse, posture analysis, and reflexes

    • A spinal exam, including orthopedic and neurological tests, may also be used to assess the range of motion of the affected body part(s), muscle tone, muscle strength, and neurological integrity

    • Based on the results of the patient's history and chiropractic exam, diagnostic studies are performed to reveal pathologies and identify structural abnormalities to more accurately diagnose a condition

    • A chiropractic adjustment is a therapeutic treatment where the chiropractor uses their hands or special instruments to manipulate joints in your body

    • This treatment is also called spinal manipulation or joint manipulation

    • A chiropractic adjustment can help reduce pain, correct your body's alignment, and improve how your body functions physically
